Abstract:

Background and Objectives This study looked at the frequency of HLA alleles and their genetic diversity in specific IRANIAN ethnic GROUPS. This is important for the successful transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells. Materials and Methods In this descriptive study, HLA-DRB1 alleles were determined in low resolution level for donors using the PCR-SSP method. By using the HLA lab data and the stem cell donors’ information in IRANIAN Blood Transfusion Organization, the ethnic and HLA information from the Gilak (n = 510, 24. 70%), Lur (n = 465, 22. 53%), Kurd (n = 719, 34. 84%), and Arab (n = 370, 17. 93%) ethnicities were collected and analyzed. The relationship between alleles and ethnicity was examined, and a statistically significant relationship (p < 0. 05) between the frequency of alleles in the studied ethnic GROUPS was evaluated using the chi-square test. Results The low frequency allelic GROUPS related to HLA-DRB1 were HLA-DRB1*09 (0. 6%), HLA-DRB1*12 (0. 8%), and HLA-DRB1*08 (1. 6%). Allelic GROUPS with higher frequency included HLA-DRB1*11 (22. 7%), HLA-DRB1*03 (11. 8%), HLA-DRB1*15 (11. 7%), and HLA-DRB1*04 (11. 1%). Among the allelic GROUPS of HLA-DRB1, the frequency of 9 HLA-DRB1 allelic GROUPS showed significant differences in the studied populations. Conclusions  The frequency of several allelic GROUPS showed significant differences among IRANIAN ethnicities. Identifying similarities and differences in the frequency of HLA alleles among IRANIAN ethnicities can help not only expand the pool of donors in registries but also assist in planning for providing of hematopoietic stem cell donors for patients from different IRANIAN ethnic GROUPS.

Abstract:

Determining the position and importance of scientific GROUPS in the operational structure of the university and its important role in improving the quality of educational and research activities of the university's affiliated faculties is one of the important issues for universities. Some universities have provided simple models for classifying scientific group, but there is still no coherent and complete system for ranking scientific GROUPS in universities. The main purpose of this study was to provide a suitable model for ranking scientific GROUPS in universities and higher education centers in the country. In this qualitative research, the methods of qualitative content analysis and semi-structured interviews were used. Qualitative content analysis was done inductively and semi-structured interviews were conducted with research participants on the topic and how to rate and rank categories and subcategories. To analyze the data obtained from semi-structured interviews, interpretive analysis method was used and finally the components of the model and their scores were extracted. Mission, goals, organizational position, training courses and curricula and non-curricula, science Committee, Students, Learning / teaching strategies, educational facilities and equipment, theses and dissertations, seminars, research contracts of chairs and graduates were components of the ranking model of scientific group in IRANIAN universities and higher education centers. The results of this ranking model can be used for all scientific GROUPS and fields of study. It will also be useful to develop this model in the form of a mechanized system for different uses such as comparing academic departments in universities and leveling faculties.

Abstract:

Background & Aim: The unprecedented reduction in fertility is one of the population problems of countries, including Iran. This study aimed to assess factors affecting fertility preferences in women of five IRANIAN ethnic GROUPS.Materials & Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 2114 women fertility age from 5 ethinc GROUPS of Arabs, Kurds, Sistani & Baluchi, Turk and Turkmen in winter 2015. Data collection tool was a questionnaire containing demographic and dependent variables related to fertility preferences; its reliability and validity were confirmed. The data gathered and analyzed in software SPSS 18.Results: The mean age of samples was 37.6±4.3 years, and most women(44.9%) had primary education. Almost 60% of women with reproductive capability had no desire for the next child. The main reasons expressed reluctance to childbearing included: 28.5% aging, 24.4% economic problems and 19.0% strong opposition from her husbands. Of 384 (16.5%) women who were willing to future pregnancies, 41.4% expressed their main reason as to have a boy and 20.1% tend to have a girl. The average of proper number of children was different, ranged from 2.2±1.3 children in Kurdish group, to 3.6±1.5 children in the Arab group. There was a significant difference between fertility preferences and different ethnic GROUPS (p<0.05).Conclusion: The results of this study indicated that fertility preferences is different in various ethnic GROUPS and the important reasons for the reluctance to childbearing included increasing age in women, economic problems and strong opposition from her husbands.

Abstract:

Purpose: The present research aimed at finding an answer to the question of the process of influence of cyberspace on IRANIAN Poetry in the future, and the influence of cyberspace on various aspects of poetry such as content, its audience, the poet, the media that published the poem, the process of composing the poem, the rights of the author, and Globalization of the IRANIAN poetry. Method: The Delphi technique was used to carry out this research. A group of experts comprising professors in the fields of Communication and Literature was selected. The expert’s opinions were collected and analyzed through an in-depth interview, a questionnaire based on the Likert scale, and by the execution of three stages of Delphi rounds. Findings: Accordingly, considering the content, the experts predicted that due to the impact of cyberspace, the quality of the poetry will be reduced and consequently, the language of poetry will become simpler and close to prose and it will only reflect the daily events of life. Regarding the audience, they concluded that the audience’s selection power will be increased, however, we can differentiate between the public and professional audience. With respect to the sender, there will be no phenomenon of multi authors, and regarding the channel, the experts agreed upon Media Convergence besides, the poets’ agency in publishing their own poems will be increased. Conclusion: Experts believe that the spread of communication technologies will make censorship ineffective. This is the only case in which the group believes in the impact of technology on the future of poetry. The group of experts did not reach a consensus regarding the impact of technology on the phenomena such as publication of author’s poems as one’s original work and the Globalization of IRANIAN poetry, thus, analyzed these items in the framework of the human agency.

Abstract:

Ethnic diversity is one of the most important social issues in national security of Islamic Republic of Iran. It seems that ethnic diversity can be the source of challenge and also can provide opportunities of growth and development for the country and can be a source of power. Each of these ethnic GROUPS has potentially considerable capacities for merging in national merits, political participation and maintenance and protection of the country; therefore, the mentioned threats about the ethnic GROUPS have mostly been for the sake of management problems and they can be diminished by appropriate management of national values and expansion of intergroup fairness. In this study, first by way of historical action-research, potential resources of national belongings of seven GROUPS of Fars, Lur, Baluch, Turckman, Arab, Kurd, and Azery have been considered and then with reference to elites and use of Delphi- Fuzzy technique, the importance and effect co-efficiency of this factor in the happening of ethnic crisis or acceleration of convergent expansion process has been reviewed.
